CNS 20th AnniversaryEstablished in 1993, small business meets changing market needs.

POOLESVILLE, Md. – Corporate Network Services (CNS), an IT support company based in Poolesville, Md., is celebrating its 20-year anniversary. Established in 1993 by Marshall Micheals and Karen Kalantzis, the company began with three employees working out of a townhouse basement and now has close to 50 employees working in five offices across the East Coast and Midwest.

CNS first started as a low voltage cabling installation company for Macintosh networks. Over the last 20 years the company added IT services to meet customers’ growing technology needs. Eventually, cabling took a back seat to more advanced technology support CNS delivered, such as managed services, custom application development, and federal contracttcing featuring computer support for healthcare information technology and electronic medical records.

Clients included small businesses, non-profits and government agencies such as The Humane Society of the U.S., Johns Hopkins University, National Institute of Health, and the Department of Defense at Ft. Detrick.

“Small business owners today want to see how technology can help them meet their business goals,” says CNS founder Marshall Micheals. “We’ve been able to take a consultative approach by truly partnering with clients instead of leading with the latest hot gadget. We provide a unique set of services called PROSuite™ that help business owners maintain control and costs, support their strategy, and create leverage in their business for improved operations.”
