POOLESVILLE, MD – Last week, MainSpring, Inc. honored two of their employees with the prestigious MainSpring President’s Award: e-Learning Consultant and Technical Writer Angela Price and Virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO) Kurt Schneider.

Recipients of this award exemplify MainSpring’s core values—connect, own, innovate, expedite and succeed. However, MainSpring President Tom Keller, who’s responsible for selecting these individuals, explains that, “qualifying for this award doesn’t concern a checklist—it’s an attitude.”

Clarifying, Keller describes the ideal recipient as an employee (or employees) “who’ve bought into the firm’s values and lead by example. They are never satisfied with simply filling their role—instead, they go above-and-beyond to create new opportunities to help their colleagues grow. These recipients always take a high level of ownership in the future of the firm, and they embrace the possibility of the culture of [MainSpring], and take it for a spin.”

This year’s recipients were no exception in their ability to influence the firm’s culture—making commemorable impacts on both the clientele and their colleagues. “Angela and Kurt, while both fairly new to the firm, have gone above-and-beyond what’s expected of them on a consistent basis. This year alone, they both volunteered their time and expertise for every program that [MainSpring] could throw their way, including our ‘Get into Gear’ storytelling initiative,” says Keller. “On top of that, [Angela and Kurt] still found plenty of time to plan, create and expedite their own special projects. Most notably are Angela’s after-hour projects, which aimed to improve the quality of life and work for her colleagues overseas, as well as Kurt’s IT road map project, which he conceptualized to help clients align their businesses (or organizations) to IT best practices.”

Keller reiterates, “Both [Angela and Kurt] are extremely deserving of this honor. They’ve really impressed their colleagues and clients with their outstanding work ethic and contagious personalities…That, alone, speaks volumes to their commendable achievement.”
